How to Create Product Tags

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Tags make groups of products easier to manage. Creating tags and assigning them to products will help you find those products faster in Inventory searches. It also makes it possible to precisely target them with automations in Workflows.

How to Create Product Tags

  1. On the SmartRepricer homepage, click Settings > Product Tags.

  2. Click + Add Tag in the upper right.

  3. Enter the Tag Name and select the color.

  4. Click Save changes.

Your tag will now appear in the list of product tags. You can edit it by clicking the pencil icon on the right, or delete it by clicking the trash can.

Adding Tags to Products

Now that you've created your tag, you can add it to any of your listings when you visit the Listings > Inventory screen.

Adding Tags to a Single Product

Click into the Min Price or Max Price field for the item you want to add your tag to.

In the popover that appears, click Select Tags. Choose any tag or tags you want to add to this listing. Then click Update.

Your tag will then appear below the product image on the left.

Adding or Removing Tags in Bulk

Tick the checkboxes next to any items whose tags you want to edit. If you want to edit all items currently shown, tick the checkbox in the upper-left corner, above the list.

You'll see Bulk Actions appear in the upper right, along with a dropdown menu that shows Selected Items.

If you want to edit every item in your search results and not just the item you selected, click the dropdown menu. Change Selected Items to All search result.

Once you're finished selecting the items you want to edit, click Bulk Actions and select Tags Add/Delete.

Under Choose, select Add or Delete.

Under Tag, select the tag you want added to or removed from your selected listings.

Click Save.

Where Can I Use My Tags?

You can use your tags right on the Inventory screen, as filters.

First, click Filter in the upper right, then select the Tag dropdown and choose a tag. Hit apply. The search results will then only display items with the selected tag.

Tags can also be used as filters in workflows. This lets you build powerful automations. For example, you can create a workflow that will automatically change strategies for all tagged items at a specific time and day. Learn more about workflows here.
